Dry Suit Diver
Let’s face it, diving in the UK can, on the odd occasion, get a little chilly! A wetsuit doesn’t totally remove you from contact with the cold water. A drysuit is a 'shell' that minimizes your contact with the water, and insulates you with a layer of air, with the added thermal protection of a warm inner-suit. If you’re planning to dive in the UK in the winter months, it’s virtually essential. If you’d like to go ice diving, it’s an absolute must!
You’ll learn about different types of drysuit available; donning and removal; buoyancy characteristics and techniques; correct weighting; safety and emergency procedures; maintenance techniques and undergarment choices. Proof of certification is often required to rent or buy a drysuit.
