IANTD Deep Diver
The IANTD Deep Diver program is designed to provide training to divers who plan to dive to depths of up to 39 metres on air. The program trains divers in the skills, performance, theory and planning of deep dives and will also introduce you to equipment and kit configuration and setup, and stress management.
You’ll get the opportunity to practice skills for controlled/timed ascents, simulated decompression stops, submersible marker buoy (SMB) deployment, valve shutdowns, gas management and out of gas drills, as well as practicing streamlining and propulsion techniques and receiving an introduction to the theory behind decompression diving.
This is a rewarding and valuable course for divers who:
- Wish to have an introduction to diving with wings, twin-sets/twin cylinders and/or redundant regulators.
- Divers who wish to dive between the 20-39 metre range safely and comfortably, using appropriate equipment and procedures to ensure redundancy and safety.
- Divers who wish to diversify their diving by entering into technical diving, or want to find out more about what technical diving can offer.
